i've always said he is a houdini
Davis can successfully get out of his crib now.
I decided that he needs to start soothing himself to sleep, my rocking him is just getting old, he is very big and it is ridiculous. I put him in his crib since he was very tired, he cried for a good 10-15 minutes, all of a sudden his cry is getting closer to me, I look up and here he comes walking out into the family room. I about sh*t. While he appears to be fine, I'm so upset. I don't even know whether to laugh or cry about it.
I called the Pedi to see what to look for if something is wrong and they told me that we need to consider a toddler bed since he can get out now, it is better for him to get out of that bed than fall out of the crib.
I guess I'm calling BRU to get our conversion kit.
Booze, it's what's for dinner

Re: i've always said he is a houdini
LOL! I bet it's because he's so tall that he can get out already.
I was scared to death to put Skyler in a toddler bed but the transition with her was really smooth. Of course, she had already been putting herself to sleep in the crib so that might make a difference.
Here's what I did. Made sure her room was completely safe for her to be in alone and then put a door handle cover thing on the inside of her door so that I knew she wouldn't be able to get out on her (her bedroom was upstairs). We would put her to bed and tell her night night and everything just like we always did in the crib and then leave the room. We'd hear her playing over the monitor for about 20 minutes every night/nap time but then she'd always get back in her bed and go to sleep. I was really lucky that it was so easy with her. I doubt Charli will be as cooperative. But that's my two cents just in case you wanted to know. lol.
No bumper! LOL He hasn't had them in a while. He has absolutely nothing he can use to boost himself up, not even a pillow and he had no blanket in there today so he didn't pile blankets up either. He is very strong.
