Lying about yourself is now rape?

Exactly.
Not even touching the "a respectable Jewish woman would NEVER sleep with an Arab if she knew he was one," the fact that something like lying about your name could get you a rape conviction is insane.
The nerve!

no, i think that's classified as assault, isn't it?
i see your point, but women cannot wander around mindlessly trusting every guy who wants to insert his penis into her. My mom told me stuff like this would happen if I put out too soon, i blame her mother
it's a fine line. some women wouldn't sleep with a man who wasn't rich, but that wouldn't cause them phyiscal harm. hiv would though.
Is it one partner's responsibility to know exactly what the other person's deal breaker's are?
What about married guys that say they're single? I wouldn't knowingly sleep with a married man, but if I find out I did, I don't think he raped me.

I've thought of at least 3 punchlines to this story, each very offensive, so I'll snicker to myself.
Maybe I should sue the guy I slept with in my mid-20s who promised me that he'd 'rock my world'. Uh, not so much.
Expecting someone to be truthful about their HIV status is no different than expecting someone to be truthful about anything else. None of it is rape. Rape is clearly defined as the hilarious result of a Christin knock knock joke, not lying about being named Schmendrick.
If lying = rape, and women decide not to use protection because their one night stand says that he doesn't have the AIDS, I will be forced to add the expression "she was asking for that raping" into my vernacular. And I don't want to do that.
And I'm not sure if I have my own vernacular, or if there is just one big vernacular that we all share, but, well, there you are.

I hate love and marriage. I got married so I could destroy these things from the inside. - NoisyPenguin

Okay, so totally not Rape but I can see how it could be some sort of crime, but I'm talking like a minor "don't do that again" type of crime. I don't even think you can compare it to something like H1V. Nobody is harmed, the worst thing that would happen is she could have gotten knocked up. Her kid still would be Jewish cause she is. Plus I doubt she is a very religious woman...
I mean how could she be if she was having sex before marriage anyways, so she can't throw that card out.
