About 1am I woke up and saw lights in the backyard and heard 2 male voices talking to each other. I woke Arek up and told him there was someone in the backyard and for a minute we thought I was having one of my nightmares. I ran and called 911 and told them there were people in our backyard making a commotion as they were being noisy and it sounded like they were scraping something. The dispatcher put in the call and Arek tried to get a good look at the guys but we were terrified of them seeing us. Then, she calmy says, "Oh it's just police officers in your yard. They're looking for someone." Umm.... I mean, yes, what a relief that it was the police and not some crazy people, but not a relief that someone is on the loose in our quiet, safe neighborhood and the fact that people were being woken up scared like that even though I know they had to do it.
We looked out our front window and there were a couple of police cars on the street and police with flashlights searching the yards of all the homes so I have no idea who was/is actually on the loose and what is going on. Now I'm awake at 5 again and they're gone, I just hope they caught him because I'm a little shaken. My neighbor sent me a facebook message telling me the exact same story just to make me aware and she said she actually left and went to sleep at her mom's house for the night.
I really needed a good night's sleep last night to prepare for the next few days!!!!
