Talladega (sp?) is where the races are. I've never been, but I know that a bunch of Sigma Chi brothers at UNA used to go every year and they basically stayed drunk the whole weekend. From the things I have heard I'm not sure I'd take kids.
Unclaimed Baggage is in Scottsboro. I have been twice. One time was a success and the other time a bust. I think it's probably hit or miss you know?
There are lots of fun things in B'ham. Also Huntsville has got fun stuff too
And this time of year there are tons of family friendly festivals around.
The race in Talledega was held last weekend..there won't be another one until April. Almost everybody that goes gets drunk, and like Candi said, I wouldn't take kids.
I can't remember what part of Alabama you said that you are in, but if you are in Bham they have the McWane Center and the Birmingham Zoo, which are both kid friendly places. There is also the Vulcan.
I have never been to the Unclaimed Baggage place but I heard that it was wonderful. But alot of places can be hit or miss.
