PG Related Question - - - Telling Parents
When did you tell your and DH's parents? [Poll]
Re: PG Related Question - - - Telling Parents
I told my mom after we had our sonogram. I wanted to see the heartbeat first. I can't remember at how many weeks that was. I want to say I was 6?
As far everyone else I told them after my first trimester.
Sorry I didn't vote because i'm not exactly sure.
We will be telling our parents next weekend. I'll be 7 weeks, and we'll have had the sonogram to see the heartbeat. It worked out great, because MIL will be in for DH's bday, so we get to tell both sets in person (minus FIL, he can't make it), and on the same day!
As for everyone else, I've told a few close friends, those who I would tell if something not good were to happen anyways. For the rest of the world, probably try and hold out til 12 weeks. Maybe even longer, we're going back to visit family at the end of September, I love to tell them first in person, but I don't know if I can wait that extra 3 weeks.
We told DH's parents around 7 weeks because I was sooo nauseous that I had a hair trigger for vomiting. We swore them to secrecy. It drove MIL crazy and I still don't think she's forgiven me for spoiling her fun of spreading the news (because once I was ready to tell everyone, I guess it just wasn't as much fun for her).
We told my parents after we heard the heartbeat, just before 12 weeks, which was also about the time that I started telling everyone.
