Let's lighten things up

There has been so much bad news on here that I wanted to try and lighten things up with a QOTD:

If you could have your dream car, what would it be?

Mine would be a black Porsche roadster. Not that I need it, since I have a lead foot lol Once munchkin is born, I would settle for a Volvo S40.

Re: Let's lighten things up

  • I told DH before we start TTC in 5 years, I want a "no-kids" car for awhile.  My goal is to get a Lexus IS in the next 2 years. Forget a BMW or Mercedes, I absolutely love Lexus! We will see how this works out for me!

  • hum...

dream: I have no idea.  I've been sitting here for 5 minutes and can't think of a single one.  I have zero desire for many of the major luxury brands right now.  One of my BFF's has a 2010 M3 and it's honestly the worst car to ride in and he doesn't even care to drive it much.  His previous 5 series was ok, but ALWAYS has something broken.  I like my dad's Lexus, but it feels too "old" for me.  BFF's H has an Infiniti and it's ok, but cramped.  I couldn't enjoy a Porsche because I know it wouldn't fit my life.  As strange as this sounds... my favorite car to drive has been a Lincoln Town Car.  Big, powerful, decent gas mileage and comfy.

practical/reality: Honda Pilot.  I like that there's the fold-out extra seats, hidden compartments and auto-closing back hatch.

  • I would give my pinky toe for a Lexus RX Crossover.  In ice blue.  With dark grey leather interior.

I got a new car for college graduation (my parents promised that if I graduated with a 4.0, I could get one) and I tried so hard to beg for the Lexus. Yeah right.  Got a Nissan Rogue.  It's nice, but its no Lexus.

I lurv me some Lexus RX.  *wipes drool*

  • I love the Lincoln MK-X and Z.  But I would want them to be a hybrid.  We have a Honda Insight and a Honda Civic which both get amazing mileage, so it's going to be hard to ever give them up.

  • Hmmm, I have 2..lol

My get away car would have to be a Ferrari 458 Italia. That thing is gorgeous and powerful!

The second would have to be the Cadillac Escalade Hybrid. I could so see myself as a soccer mom rolling up in a black Escalade to the soccer park. Ha!

  • A 1967 blue camaro with racing stripes! My mom and I always talked about fixing one up, not that either one of us had the skills... Yet I still think that would be a fun car to own.
  • Honestly, I LOVE the car we just bought.  I hate convertables and I hate small cars... so I wouldn't do well with any of the sports cars.  DH has a Mazda Miata that is his baby (racing stripes and all).  One day he dreams of building a kit Shelby Cobra.  I'll live vicariously through him and say that.
