Anyone read the book "One Day"?
By David Nicholls.
I just finished it. I wasn't sure I would like it at first because so much of it involved British phrasing, locations, euphemisms, etc. I thought those might distract me from the story but I quickly got used to all the British-isms.
In the end, it was a decent book. I wasn't prepared for the twist that came -- not at the end but about 3/4 through the book. It totally caught me off guard. I'd be curious to know what others think.
They're filming the movie based on the book now, starring Anne Hathaway.
Just curious if anyone else has read it. It might be a good one for the book club some of you ladies have!

I haven't even heard of it. Thanks for the rec!
(And we're all for books that are turning into movies...or have issued Cliff Notes that can be skimmed over in the car at red lights on the way to the meeting...)
