can I whine for a minute?
It is so freezing in my office! We just had a lunch presentation and everyone was wearing sweaters or jackets and shivering. I also am sick, and if we didn't have a meeting in Cali next week and I didn't need to be here to make sure materials are prepared I would have taken a sick day. My throat is killing me and I am feeling very worn down. I told my boss I'd have a proposal draft to her by tomorrow morning in addition to the meeting prep stuff, so if I don't suck it up now then I'm going to be working tonight. blah.

I feel your pain!! I have to have a space heater under my desk. They keep asking of ways they can cut costs, um turn off the AC and we'd save thousands!! I also haven't been feeling too well since Sunday.
I'm sorry you don't feel good and you're cold. If I were you, I'd get some hot tea or some hot chocolate (yes, I know it's July, whatev lol). Good luck on your proposal!!
Awww I hope you feel better before your trip!
If it makes you feel any better my office is always sweltering, this place retains heat like no other. We have a/c here but it's old and no one likes to use it because it's so effing loud, lol. It only gets turned on when it's really unbearable, otherwise we just open the doors so we get a breeze.
I have my space heater on all year 'round. However, I'll take cold over hot any day. Our air broke during our first heat wave and it was over 90 in here...sucked ass!

I work with such germaphobes but I really need to be here, so I'm trying not to look how I feel :-) I'm in my office alone most of the day anyway.

Me too! I hope you feel better soon! I swear by Goldenseal anytime I start to feel a cold/sore throat coming on.
