noelle really hopes this weekend is relaxing!
Re: TPT
Shell agrees with Noelle.
Shell thinks that she needs to make a better effort to go to bed early.
Holly is super excited that she only has one more day left at her job! (in case the nesties were able to tell by her daily posts)
Holly thinks it's funny and sweet that all of her H's relatives in Colombia are fighting over where Holly & HH will stay when they go down there in a few weeks. Right now it looks like H & HH will be staying with a different relative every night. Also, H's MIL said that over 30 ppl are coming the airport to greet them. H's DH is proud that he is such a celebrity.
Ashley has failed at being the independent woman she thought she was - she had to ask DH how much their bills were because her H handles all of the finances.
Ashley is also super excited to go to the pool tomorrow!
HAHAHA, this!! hayley's hubs also handles all the bills and stuff.
My Shopping Blog
Amy is in this same boat, other than the current electric bill I have no idea what these run as I don't pay the bills.
Amy also wishes that whatever is in her right eye would dislodge itself because it is really bugging me this morning.

Shelley is spamming P&R for using we, and she hopes P&R and her honey have a great weekend and forget all about whatever they were upset over.
Holly is super jealous about FS closets. Holly says Congratulations to FS!

Melissa is really looking forward to spending Saturday with a dear friend from home. They'll be getting facials, pedicures, and going to IKEA.
She can't wait!
Melissa really needs to have a good day after all the crap that's been piling up on her medically. Between the ovarian cyst, bone lesions (scan on Weds), and needing a liver biopsy (freaking out!), she just can't take it anymore. Oh yeah, and of course no booze or sweets to drown her sorrows in.
Melissa is also excited to have her house cleaned tomorrow!
P&R is super jealous, and wants to congratulate FS on the home purchase! w00t!
Dunne' thinks Melissa should spill her secret on her method! Dunne' tries to keep track of things but sometimes, she slips!
This was Ashley's method - which is why her super organized H takes care of them now.
*turning off TPT because I'm lazy*
It's no secret. It just requires discipline. The short version is that I use Quicken (though used to use and dearly miss Microsoft Money) and plan everything in advance. I keep loose budgets in Google docs spreadsheet to estimate monthly and non-monthly expenses. I also use targeted savings accounts for emergencies, vacations, gifts, projects, and those non-monthly expenses and make monthly deposits/withdrawals to those accounts. I also keep $1000 buffer in the checking account. I pay all bills within two days of their arrival with web billpay and schedule them to arrive two business days prior to due date. I also track our credit cards at least once/week, usually when I've logged in to pay a bill. I always know where we stand and if we're on track with our budget.
My system gets a bit more complicated in Quicken and I won't get into all that here. I enter everything that isn't scheduled manually and don't download any transactions. It just makes me more aware/involved with each transaction.
I'd say I spend 30-60 min total during a week, but usually in just 10-15 min increments when I log in to pay bills online and enter new transactions, etc. I've been doing it all this way for years and started while I was in college, so it's just an old habit.
Wow. You are amazing!
Emily handles all of the bills like Melissa, Emily's DH also claimed the
it's all in my head system"
