Your ideal date night

I can't even tell you how often DH and I decide to have a date night, but then have NO ideas as to what we should do. So, what would your ideal date night be like?

  • We enjoy a nice dinner to one of our favorite restaurants. One where we are not rushed out and have a nice time talking and being served hahaha. When we eat at home...you bring your food out, eat and are done so quickly.

  • I love picnics in the park, so maybe start out with that - just snacks and a bottle of wine.  Then, maybe a walk and off to a late dinner.

In the winter, we have picnics in our living room by the fireplace.  Its just cozy and comfortable.

Honestly our favorite "date night" of late is on Friday nights. Work is so crazy during the week it's nice to be able to come home, make a pizza together or cook out and enjoy dinner over a bottle of wine while we chat.

Ditto to Septbride's going out to eat too-  if it's nice out we like to walk around downtown and either eat outside, or go to the bar of a fancy restaurant we wouldn't ordinarily eat at and enjoy appetizers and a glass of wine at the bar or outside.

  • I like things that make us feel young again and you live in a great place for that kind of thing.  Go out for mini golf and ice cream or walk around Lake George Village and go to The House of Frankenstein wax museum or the arcade.

  • Our last date night was actually a "date day".  We went to a matinee and then went to this dive bar that we like and had wings and beer.

    I always love mini-golf!

Get dressed up and go to a restaurant you have never been to.  Order something different that you've never had before.  Split a bottle of wine.  Are there any outdoor bars/bistros/restaurants where you live?

On a weekend morning you could go to a Farmer's Market then to a coffee shop and have a lazy morning reading the paper and drinking coffee.

When we first started dating we went to Friendly's and split one of those 5 scoop sundaes and had a contest...whoever dripped on the table least, won, lol!  I did NOT win that one!
