Nearby "Destination" Wedding Location
Hi Ladies -
My best friend lives in New Orleans and is planning to have a small, private wedding ceremony. Would you all be able to suggest some relaxing weekend getaway type locations in the South that might work for this? Right now she is looking at the Smoky Mountains but is open to other ideas. I guess the one criteria is that they need to get married in a church/chapel. Obviously, it needs to be a church/chapel that will marry visitors or non-parishioners. Somewhere with a nature, outdoorsy, or rustic vibe would be ideal. Thinking about September or February.

cakpeterson also got married somewhere in Arkansas and her pics were FAB. I think she got married outdoors but she may know if a chapel/church is available in the area.
If your friend is into beach weddings I know of a place just outside of Destin that does weddings in this little chapel right on the beach. I can try to find the name of it if you'd like.
If it's not too much trouble, that would be great!

My only concern is it might be a bit overkill since there will only be ~15 people. I will pass the suggestion along though!

We got married in Eureka Springs, AR. Our location was on Beaver Lake ----- breathtaking I tell ya! We did everything outside under tents, but there is a chapel a few miles away that is really neat: www.thorncrown.com
