It's totally eff'd up and I have to share

I was trying to find out how long an egg will last in fridge.

Got these answers and was about to click out and I saw this answer.

OMG...really...

Just an FYI, but you can freeze eggs. Get plastic ice cube trays and break an egg into each little cube. There will be leftover egg white. You can save it the same way, for KKK omelet (whites only). After they freeze hard like rocks, you can take them out of the tray and keep them in a bag or box.

  • Um wow

Did you find an answer to your question though? I always use the glass of water test if I have a questionable egg. Floating egg = bad, egg sinks = good!

  • OMG! Seriously??

Also, I had to google that same thing a couple months ago and I'm glad I'm not the only one who didn't know!!!

  • Yea the eggs sell by date is the begining of May.  I wasn't sure if they were still good., so I bought new eggs adn then found out that they were fine.  Floated right to the bottom.

I'm trying to use them up via cookie baking

  • And where are said cookies? I'd be happy to take some off your hands to help you use up all your eggs!

  • haha I'm actually making a few more dozen tonight!

I have friends of friends in the military and they are for them.  Apparently they are on a mission to get a few hundred dozen so i thought that I would help out with my 4 or 5 dozen.  I then got some people at work to get on board.  It's great!  I'm dropping everything off tomorrow afternoon so we'll see how many they get.  :)
