Oh how I hate FL summers. Nothing ever seems to go right. Last night our A/C broke and nobody has come to fix it yet...even though it's an emergency and they were supposed to be right over. It is currently about 85 degrees in my house. The only cool room is our closet....which is looking mighty tempting about now lol
How is everyone else holding up this summer?
Re: Summer Heat :(
Oh No! We had that happen earlier this summer, it's definitely no fun! I layed on the hardwood floors with ice packs. And I think it was sandra who said to put the pillowcases in the freezer - that was awesome!
I pretty much don't go outside between the hours of 9am and 8pm lol. It was 104 here yesterday.
Yikes! 104 is HOT! But we're not far behind at 100 today. This is why I am not a beach/pool girl in the summer...I wait for winter (which I can do in FL lol). The guy just came to fix the A/C so hopefully he'll be done soon...it was up to 94 in here and that's with all the fans going.
That is strange jrsygrl that they're flipping even though it's not any hotter than it has been. Central A/C is important I'm finding out more and more no matter where you live.
Auuugh I hate the heat so much. My WeatherBug says 86 but I just came in and it definitely feels hotter today. We ran to Target, was gone all of 45 minutes and I was drenched in sweat when I got home. Gross.
I know I'm going to freeze this winter though when we're back in Buffalo then Wisconsin. I think I've acclimated a bit and I think 60 is going to feel frigid, let alone when we get below 20...
Anyway, when we were in Freeport we had wall units that cost a ton of money to run so we went without A/C as much as we could. The closet was always the coldest though and I spent some time in there, haha.
