Re: the irony is

  • I'm not, but I will sure be sulking about the cancellation of the broccoli farfalle bertolli. "Just when I thought I was over yoooooou, just when I thought I could stand on my ooooowwwwn..."

  • I've only had the cannelloni and was NOT impressed.

You just earned yourself one ripsnorter of a passive-agressive FB message, mister.

  • I've never had one....or have I?

  • I'm not sure if it's Bertolli or not, but I have some frozen ravioli filled with lobster and shrimp in my freezer that I'm pretty sure I'll be making for dinner tonight thanks to this.  We only have it because we haven't been to Costco in a while and ran out of the chicken filled ravioli they sell there (I think it's Pasta Prima brand, so clearly way better than Bertolli).

  • i am not sure what a ripsnorter is
  • If you are going the frozen route, Bertolli is kind of a ripoff.  I get bags of frozen pasta from an Italian deli, then dump jarred pasta on top of it.  Just as easy, cheaper, and better tasting.

  • It has the meat all cooked in it though.
  • I have not had the Bertolli, but Trader Joe's (a specialty store in my neighborhood) has frozen pasta thingamajiggers that are pretty tasty.

  • I haven't been impressed with the Bertoli. They taste oily to me.

  • I don't love Bertolli but I prefer it to the jar b/c it have meat and veggies and non-tomato sauce.

  • remind me not to go to Winged's house for a dinner party
  • well when I say frozen pasta, it's a ravioli or cannelloni or tortellini that has meat (or cheese or mushrooms, etc) in them.  So that gives you the meat element.  Yeah cause freezing meat free pasta would be weird.

  • The problem is I live with a loser jerkface who wouldn't eat lobster ravioli!  See, I don't need a baby to hate my husband, I can do it now.
