Orientation Day outfit?

Just found out today that while my first day will be Aug. 2, I have to go in for orientation this coming Monday.

Just got the first of my new purchases -

Will this dress work for the first day? BTW, I highly rec this dress - Merona Shirtdress - I ordered it online but I also spotted it in store.

It's cute! My only thought is it might be too short--I'm not sure how conservative the office is. And definitely closed-toe shoes!

I will wear closed-toed shoes.

And maybe it photographed weird, but it's not short. And not a conservative office, but I'm trying to play it mildly conservative the first couple of weeks until I get a feel for things.

Love the dress! I would definitely accessorize though just to make it a little more formal.

And does a steamer count as an iron? If so, you have one other wrinkle-free J9'er.

Sadly I have few conservative options right now, but I'm slowly building that up. Just need my orders to arrive soon!

If it was your first day at a law firm, I would say not formal enough. But based on your comments about the new place, I think this will work just fine. As PPs stated, dress it up with cute accessories and you should be good to go!
