Cincinnati Nesties
Dear Community,

Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

If you have questions about this, please email help@theknot.com.

Thank you.

Note: This only affects The Nest's community members and will not affect members on The Bump or The Knot.

S/O: Angie's List

The post below is the first time I've even heard of this. Are a lot of Nesties a member of this? Is it worth your $? Is there an annual fee (and is it expensive)?

Just curious...

Re: S/O: Angie's List

  • I don't have a whole lot of information on it, however my company uses Angie's List.  There is a fee to be a member but don't know what it is.  We get quite a few referrals from it at work.  Its supposed to be really good to get a list of reliable companies to use w/ a great reputation.  Here's the page I found through our info:

I didn't see where it listed what the cost was, though.

If I remember correctly, we pay about $40 a year.  We have used it a lot with various services around the house.  Kitchen remodel, basement waterproofing, hardwood floor refinished, surveyor, etc.  We have also used it to find our dentist, and specialty doctors.  We think it's worth the money, as long as you will use its resources.  Try it during a year you know you will need to be using a company's services or the need to find a specialist or to switch doctors.  Then, after that year you dont need it, cancel.
