I loose more and more respect for him day by day. He updates his status every.day. to "Yes on 8! Save marriage!").
I've remained too cowardly to challenge him, but thankfully a few others have. Interestingly enough, no one of his generation, only our parents' generation. Apparently they have more balls.
Anyways, he's currently in a face-off with a "Band Mom" from HS, whose kids I know well. She's taking him to task quite well. It's insanely uncomfortable for me to watch these two go at it given our common history, but I'm glad someone is doing it.
This woman has 5 kids who are just insanely good people. Their family is the only one I knew in HS who didn't grow up going to church every Sunday, and has been a gleaming beacon of hope to me that agnostics are good people, too. I've been meaning for awhile to tell her how inspiring she is to me, I may have to finally do that.
Re: Update to vent about my Yes on 8 facebook friend
Um, of course agnostics are good people, too! ?Religion is not what makes people good!
And is this guy religious? ?If so, your story kind of proves the opposite.?
