Re: FFF
Our baby girl!!
I have friend vents...bear with me:
Friend #1, lifelong friend (30+ years), love her to death...but she's kinda got Peter Pan syndrome. She finished her bachelor's degree last year, but has yet to do anything with it. Not even trying. She likes working in a restaurant making squat. She confided in me last week that she's never made over xxx in one year, the figure was quite a small amount for someone our age and with an education. Never fear though, her parents give her an allowance. 37 years old and getting an allowance.
Friend #2, met through DH. Separated from her husband around the time we got married. She's been living the wild and crazy single life since. Not quite comprehending that I've definitely toned down, especially when it comes to partying. One of those who blew me off on my birthday to go to the bar instead. Anyway, she's decided she's moving cross country (to AZ) and is having a going away party for herself 7/31. I've already told her it's my BFF's brithday, she and her husband are coming to town for that and we'll be spending that time with her. I think she's now laying on the (if you were a true friend) guilt trip.
Vent:
I'm really getting irritated that I can't get my hands on the phones DH and I want. I'm becoming a Best Buy stalker. After much consideration, research, talking to others, etc...finally decided to stay with Sprint and get EVOs. Unfortunately impossible to get.
Big Hugs Sara. Big Hugs.
I am so tired of being tired. I am completely exhausted and don't know how I'll keep up when school gets started if I'm still this tired. It makes me feel like a lazy PG lady, but seriously, I got up at 8am did the breakfast thing with Alex, dishes, potty training, played with him, paid the bills, showered, and just took a 30 min. nap. I'll need another one by the end of the day too I bet.
Hugs Sara, sucks so bad.
I'm upset that DH's car is in the shop AGAIN. We've dropped over $1k into it over the past year and it is still having issues. We were really hoping it would last us another year so that we don't have to have 2 car payments at once, but we can't just keep dumping $ into it. HMPH
I'm also ticked that we dropped it off last night and as of 30 minutes ago they still "have no idea what's wrong". I will be furious if they charge us the $90 diagnostic fee just to say "we don't know".
I hate that crap. We took my car in for an oil change...$600 later. Plus, they never fixed the effing dinging noise!
I learned this week that giving people benefit of the doubt can really bite you in the a$$. You may think they've backed off, but they're just waiting for the right moment to strike.
It made me have a LOT less faith in humanity. I've never realized people could be so cold-hearted.
I have "It's Raining Men" stuck in my head for absolutely no reason.
I really want a 30th birthday party, but I feel lame planning my own. So I told DH I want one. I have a feeling he won't plan anything, and if he does, it will be a last-minute drinkfest at our house and it won't include all of the people I want to include.
I realize I'm being a pouty baby about something that he hasn't even done (or not done) yet, but I can't shake it.
I also feel like I may have already confessed this before, and now it seems even more lame that I'm still worrying about it. *sigh*
We have a resident mouse in our house.
We bought live traps so that we could release it outside... but it keeps wandering right back in (at least I'm assuming its the same one). We've played the catch and release game a good 3 times already.
Well, I've had enough cause the mouse is getting up on my food shelving in the back room and ate some oatmeal packets! So I bought a not-so-live trap for the damned thing finally. I feel really bad about it (as I told DH I hate running over roadkill, so killing a cute small and fuzzy creature is torture to me) but I can't have a mouse taking a dump all over my food.
Caught one overnight. Thought that was the extent of it. Well I'm sitting here and I hear noise again in the back room... the dog is in the living room, and everyone else is too... so it's got to be a freaking mouse.
I AM TIRED OF MICE! And these stupid traps of doom (they're covered so you dont see the mouse) are freaking expensive, even at Wally World.
If I wasn't allergic to cats, I'd borrow one from someone. A cat could feast for a few days with the mice.
Merin - there's absolutely nothing wrong with planning you're own birthday party!
I lived in an apt that had mice, it was terrible, I would see them popping up out of my stove like a game of whack a mole. I thought there was one at first and then every time the trap would catch one, it would catch another and another. The landlord finally put out deacon blocks and they were all dead within two weeks
Our baby girl!!
soo sorry, Sara. Huge hugs for you.
