Keurig?

Mr. Mod doesn't drink coffee but I do. Making coffee for just me always seems like a pain. Does anyone have a Keurig? Do you like it? How's the coffee?

Re: Keurig?

  • I have one and love it.  Love.  Jason doesn't drink coffee either, and I'm so not into making a pot and then having to clean it (I don't like cleaning stuff).  It's really easy, and no clean-up really necessary.  I got one for my bday last year in anticipation of being home on maternity leave and needing caffeine during that time.  I actually also like it if I'm having a few people over because then everyone gets what they want - coffee, decaf, fancy flavors, cocoa, tea, whatever.  Easy peasy.

You could get tons of different coffee flavors, and I've had a bunch of good ones.  I really like the donut shop coffee.

  • Which version did you get? I am looking at the B40 and the B60 but I am not sure what is so much better about the B60 that it should cost $30 more.

  • I have one and I love it. It is really easy and I like that you can make tea, cocoa, and iced tea with it too. We usually buy stuff from Green Mountain or the coffee place Gloria Jeans since you can buy individual cups and mix and match to try new flavors.
  • I have the Platinum Brewing System - kind of pricey at $169 and not sure it's necessary but that's what I received for a gift so I am not complaining.

  • Not sure about the difference between the two models, but I love ours. We work different shifts, so it works out great for us. Another great place to buy the cups is www.1quickcup.com - great prices and fast shipping!
  • I have one, and echo the sentiments of Nov and Vinny.
    I have this one:

Really easy to make and virtually no clean up. I like the Donut House coffee. When I first got it, I got the variety pack to try to find one variety I liked the best.

The B60 seems to offer an additional cup size (5 1/4oz), adjustable temperature and of course, chrome accents. :)

We also (like November) have the Platinum, also received as a gift, and it is fantastic.

  • We have one and we love it.  We are not coffee drinkers either, but we do like to be able to offer it to our guests.  I really love the tea options and the iced teas that they have.
  • We have one too. The donut shop is a favorite and if you sign up for it thru amazon's subscribe and save it's a really good deal. Then you can always reject the shipment before it goes out if you're not ready for it.

  • Well, Punky seems to know what I am going to say already.  ;)

We have the Platinum thing a mijiggy.  I got it for my H at BBB while on sale and with a coupon, so the price didn't bother me.  I don't drink coffee, and the smell of old coffee bugs the bejebus out of me, so I really like it.

He says that the coffee is good.  I like the iced teas.

No worries!  I actually had to scroll through to make sure I didn't already respond.

  • You all have made my husband very happy. For the last year I have not been able to think of a single solitary thing I wanted as a gift. He had decided he was going to buy me an Amazon gift card so that when the Kindle 3 came out I could buy it. (I don't want it). But now I am getting an expensive coffee maker and I am happy.
