The smell of bleach... <gag>

So I googled the whole 'man stink' thing and ended up finding something about front load washers and how they make your towels, etc smell like mildew. I've had that problem and thought it was because it's so humid here and stuff doesn't really dry. I'm an idiot and have never cleaned out my front load with bleach or anything so that's nasty! That's probably half of my problem right there.

I hand wiped the inside of the washer w/bleach and used gloves but I can still smell it on my hands - it's giving me a headache and making me want to gag. Why oh why does that smell have to stick with you for so long?! I think it has burned into my nose, lol.

Seriously though ... barf!!!!

I know how you feel! at our last house we had a serious mold problem, I used to have to bleach all of the mold to get rid of it, and there was no ventilation in the house so it smelled horrible for hours.

This humidity stinks. Literally. No matter what I do to our place lately, it just smells off because it never gets truly dried out.

Lol. Is it bad that I really sort of like the smell of bleach? It smells like clean, and while when it's super concentrated it can be overwhelming, I tend to like it most of the time

I like to clean, it's kind of relaxing for me. I don't normally clean much with straight bleach though. Last night DH and I went to dinner and everytime I brought my hand to my mouth (chips and salsa, Mmmmm) - I wanted to barf. Last night in bed I put my hand up to his nose and said, "Smell it!" lol. Nothing says love like sharing nasty smells.

Today I'm cleaning that washer with vinegar - I will get that musty smell out if it kills me!

I like the smell of bleach if it isn't crazy strong. We have tile in every room of our house except the bedrooms and since we also have a puppy I went through and bleached the tile and grout and I wanted to die......I thought my head was going to explode. I should have known better but now I only do a small area at a time and let it dry and ventilate before I start the next.

Haha! I harvested our garlic last night while DH was working on his aquarium. Later, when I went to bed my hands still smelled like garlic. I did the same thing to DH "Smell my hands!". Poor DH's, LMAO!!!
