Sara~

I am so sorry that you are going through all of this....but seriously have hope as to try again!!! I had 3 loses in a row before I had my Ava, and I had given up after the 3rd loss, and then BAHM, I got pregnant with Ava and everything was perfect. The Doctor kept telling me it was a fluke thing that was happening to me and that miscarriages are very common, I of course wanted answers though, my husband and I were both tested and everything came back normal, there were no answers, it was just a fluke everytime. I first lost a baby at 16 weeks, then had a natural miscarriage at 7 weeks, then had a blighted ovum at 10 weeks which required a D&C. It will happen for you, and when it does it will be perfect. I got pregnant with Ashton when Ava was only 10 months old because I thought I would have problems again, but I didn't!! Got pregnant the first month off of birth control and everything was fine with him too!! I now have a 2 year old and an 8 month old, that are BOTH healthy and happy!! Your turn will come I promise you that :) Hang in there, and don't give up.

Re: Sara~

  • Cori - I remember when that was going on with you and felt so bad for you and your mom.

  • Thank you, Cori. Really, it means a lot to hear from people like you.
  • My Aunt had quite a few late miscarriages before she had 3 healthy kids, she had some type of clotting disorder and then they found out there was an RH incompatibility on top of that, once they started giving her the RH shots it solved a lot of her problems. (this wasn't 30 years ago, her youngest is only 6)

I hope your Dr. can help get things figured out and you get your sticky baby soon

  • I do have a clotting problem and it can cause m/c. They corrected that with a daily aspirin, but I'm wondering if maybe I need something stronger than that. My sister has the same clotting problem, she had two m/c before her two healthy babies. She was also treated with the daily aspirin.
  • How far along are you this time Sara?

I also had two losses before I got pregnant with Addison. My odds of having another baby were pretty low. My 1st pg. (post Tubal Reversal) ended in an etopic and then I got pregnant right away again and then had a m/c at 12w. When I got pg. w/ A I thought for sure the worst was going to happen to me again and when I was cramping very badly in the beginning I thought how can I possibly go through this again!  :o(  Again, so sorry you are going through this.  I hope real soon you post another BFP!

  • I am only a little more than 5 weeks this time. I was 11 weeks last time with the blighted ovum and then I've had two others last summer that were really early like this one, but they were so early that they were never even confirmed with blood work, just + pee sticks.

There is this tiny part of me that keeps hoping my numbers are way up on Monday. But I just don't see it happening. My numbers were up yesterday, but didn't double and I spotted bright red Tuesday and Wednesday. I've had very little spotting the past two days, which has made me optimistic again, but not very.

  • *the icky sticky* vibes your way  :)
  • Sara-my girlfriend went through something like this the last 2 years. She ended up switching to a different doctor because her ob kept telling her it was common(she has PCOS but always lost the baby before 10 weeks). When she switched ob's, the new one did some testing and found some issues with her blood. It had to deal with her body kind of rejecting the baby whenever she became pregnant. She was told that whenever she would get pregnant the next time, she would have to take daily blood thinner shots, which would help her keep the baby. She actually just had a baby girl last month, so the shots definetly worked. It did take them a good amount of time to figure out about the shots and to get pregnant but there is hope. I can ask her what tests were done and any other questions if you would like. I'm really sorry you are having to go through this.
