Kelli and any other sewers
I am thinking about making Christmas gifts as we are going to be tight at Christmas. What are some Christmas gifts that are easy for people to do that is good for someone who doesn't really know how to sew that great, but would like to do some gifts that involve sewing? I am thinking about making the 6 month old something, sil, 20 something year old niece, and a few gifts to have on hand. I see all this stuff but not sure if it good for a beginner. Any suggestions?

Re: Kelli and any other sewers
I have quite a few things bookmarked I would like to do, or that might give you some ideas. I hope do to a lot of handmade gifts this year as well, since we are super tight on $$$ right now. Btw, Im still a beginner too!
Do you want just sewing, or a variety of craft stuff?
I am going to try my hand at sewing. I figured I can practice with fabric that is on sale.
Some things I thought of but not sure if they are beginner or not
Placemats
Baby blanket or baby taggie blanket
I see those placemat purses but not sure how beginner they are
Any ideas would be great. I figured once I get good at sewing and can save to take a class I might be able to make some clothes next christmas but this year it has to be simple
I always save links when I come across them for later. I hope to do some of them for gifts this year. This might be long, but I hope you find something helpful from my list.

This is a ton to go through (and most of these sites have even more ideas for you). Let me know if you need crafty ideas too, I have those as well!
