Our tech team has launched updates to The Nest today. As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

AW: DH Update
Maybe a month ago, I posted about DH's unemployment and all of the frustrating stuff that goes along with that. You ladies were uber-supportive and so I wanted to give you guys an update since we are trying to focus on the good things, even if small.
DH has been starting a non-profit. Things are actually going really well. They have a full board and actually have too many people interested in joining the board. They have been getting quite a bit of press coverage. DH even did a radio interview on Tuesday! They have summer interns and 2 other people working full-time for free.
Well at the last board meeting, a board member brought up the fact that DH has been working for this organization for free for almost a year now. Although DH hadn't shared any details of our financial situation, she talked about the financial strain it must be causing for our family and she proposed that they discuss how he will start being paid!!!! It was approved and it will be determined pretty soon. Now, they really don't have much money to pull from so this is going to be more of a token gesture than anything close to a salary. But it is very nice for someone to realize the strain all of this is causing and at least try to give him something for all of his hard work!
