Fun Cincinnati date ideas?

What fun things are there for a newlywed couple to do in Cincinnati?  We're not on too tight a budget, but also don't want to break the bank for a night out.  All ideas welcome!

Re: Fun Cincinnati date ideas?

  • I'm a fan of the arts, so I would suggest going to the Contemporary Arts Center or seeing a show at the Aronoff and then having dinner at Nada, after dinner drinks at the Righteous Room.  Or, have dinner at Senate or Lavomatic in OTR and then walk around the galleries.  A Reds game is always fun.

Bella Luna on Eastern is fantastic and has live music (I think) almost every night in the bar area. We also like Terry's Turf Club, especially on date night, since it's easiest and quickest to get a bar seat with just 2 people. Teller's in Hyde Park is great- great rooftop dining and fun drinks at the bar.

We also really like Star Lanes Bowling, though I think it's more fun with a group, so invite another couple or two and have dinner on the Levy and then bowl.

One of FI faves is to go have dinner at Otto's or *** & Bull in Covington's Mainstrasse and then go to Chez Nora's rooftop and listen to jazz or blues.

There's lots more, those are just some of our "go to's".

  • There are church festivals going on just about every.single.weekend for the next 2-3 weeks if you google a bit. I think one of the local news stations has a list of them on their website.

Anderson Days just started in that community. I think there are outdoor bands and events every night.

You could always pack a picnic and go play some frisbee golf at our choice of courses.

  • A show at the Cincinnati Shakespeare Festival is always irreverent. Maybe catch dinner at Arthur's or Nicholson's before the show.

  • If you like the arts, suggest you join Enjoy the Arts.  You get tons of BOGO vouchers for every major place in the city plus discounts at most others.  We use it for free/cheap date nights.  Go once and it already pays for itself!  See the link for offer details.
