photo books

Who's your favorite company to get photo books made through?  I'm looking to make some for our parents from wedding photos, and wanted to see if anyone had a company they would recommend.  THanks :)

Re: photo books

  • Blurb.com.  I've made two books from there and have been extremely happy with both.  You download the program to your computer, upload your pics, design it, etc. and then upload it to their website.  It's very user friendly.

  • I'm using mpix right now to make our album and for our parents. I have used shutterfly in the past... no complaints but with Mpix you get so many more options.
  • I used shutterfly and was very happy with the results - but I'm sure any of the ones mentioned here are great.  I knew that i would want to do a lot with our wedding pics, so I bought the 1 year plan through shutterfly and got discounts on all of my prints and books for the year - it more than paid for itself.

    good luck!

  • Not finished yet, but I am using picaboo.com for my wedding album. I was happy that I could find lay-flat pages with them and the prices are reasonable. my 8.5/11 with 45 pages will only be around $150.
  • I used and liked MyPublisher. You can sign up for their emails and they are almost always running some sort of special. I haven't used it, but some of the ladies on the Photography board have mentioned mpix.
  • Hands down blurb.com.

I've made books through other companies and have felt their quality wasn't very good. The paper felt cheap and the pictures looked grainy.

The software you download is easy to use and you can customize it. I feel if you can use Microsoft PowerPoint you can use their program.

Here's a link to my wedding album I made through them.
