ugh...Monday (vent)
Good morning ladies! I know I am going to be dragging as$ today bc the phone did nothing but ring last night for H. He got called at about midnight, got home about 2 am. And then got called again about 4:15 and has been gone since. H is on call (yes, again) and they won't leave him alone. And the crappy part is that it is for an entire week. Started Fri night and won't end until this Fri am when he goes to work.
He spent all day Sat at work practically. Three times back and forth. No overtime, no compensation for gas, nothing. All bc of his stupid, tight wad boss who refuses to give OT bc it comes out of his bottom line. Yes, he gets comp time, but it still doesn't cut it all the inconvience and time spent at work.
Anyone else feeling really sleepy this am?
H is at his wits end with this job. He came home Thursday early with a migraine and said that on top of the migraine, he had feelings of being trapped and that he just had to go home. We sat on the couch and talked about it and we are praying for a different position with the same company back home or a different company all together. He gets so frustrated with the call outs in the middle of the night I have to help him keep his "head on straight" like he asked me to do so he just doesn't up & leave. I am trying so very hard. I just hope we get some good news soon...

H is an engineer, however he works in a paper mill. It is a 24/7, 365 day a year operation, so he is on call every 3rd week since there are 2 other guys. There are other issues besides the on-call crap, like he is not really getting to do any programming & code like he went to school for. His team lead pretty much won't let him do anything or use his skills bc he wants to do it all himself. Not to mention him and the regional mgr (whom neither of us can stand) are best buddies. On top of that there are a lot of political issues and other crap going on.
Right now, I am just trying to support him until something else opens up.I feel you on the monday. I didnt get much sleep last nite and all I wanna do is take a nap.
Im sending you & Your husband some good vibes. Hoping he finds a new position or at least one that works better for him. Stay positive. It will happen.
