weekend updates

We had a pretty good weekend just HOT! Saturday I cleaned and went to a birthday party. Sunday we went swimming and riding 4-wheelers. Nothing too exciting.
Good was good very relaxing, Friday I hung out with my 2 GF's from high school and then dave and I met up with freinds at a local brewery
Saturday I just hung out at home and then a friend came over and we watched a movie
Sunday we laid around all day and did nothing but watch tv and movies
Good thing i have 4 day weekends for the summer because i really need to clean and do laundry today
Awesome.
Friday night I had dinner with a friend. It was great to catch up and just hang out. Then hanging out at the rents and sleeping in my old bed, in my old room. Love that.
Saturday we got up early and headed to see my brother. It was our first time at this new place and it's nice. They are slow to check you in and get you through their security procedures though so that was annoying. But we had a nice 3 hour visit. He ate his heart out like always. We had good conversation and he looked and sounded good. He's sounded a little off since they moved him this last time, but he always sounds off after a move but this time it was just a little more off than we'd like (he didn't want to go here, he had his hopes for another place closer to home so he was very bummed). Overall, a good day and he seemed in a much better mood by the time we left so hopefully he's out of his funk (we assured him the drive was not bad and would not be hard for us so we will come visit).
Saturday night I spent the night outside, in my backyard, with my neighbor, some wine and some girl talk. Perfect way to end the day.
Sunday I mostly relaxed. I took 2 naps. They were glorious. I got some unpacking done and some grocery shopping. It was a good day, but I those naps came back to bite me in the butt because I had a hard time going to sleep last night lol.
Friday - Art came home sick from work. He was getting an awful cold. Him & Amber ran to the liquor store.......that's when Friday turned into a mess. Ambers car broke down. Three hours later they finally made it home. I was out running errands. FIL came over to help and finally they towed it home.
Saturday - Art & FIL worked on truck. Within 20 minutes it was working. ugh! Then we went off to the ASPCA to get our new little boy. I didn't think we would find a dog this weekend. We brought home our little cutie! He is just adorable. So cuddly! He is house broke, crate trained, scared of the dark and loves to play ball. He is so much fun! It's like we have had him forever.
Sunday - ran to the grocery store, made homemade chicken noodle soup and laid around. I was trying to rest, so I dont get sick. I also watched Big Brother live feeds. Everyone in the house gets along very well. I stayed up until 11:30 watching Matt & Ragan chit chat. They were cracking me up. I hope Rachel goes home soon!!!!
Friday I cleaned the house before DH came home. DH and I hung out after he got home from being gone all week.
Saturday, we were busy busy! We went to a baby store in town that had vendors out to talk to. Then we went to a baby consignment shop in town I heard was good. We loved it and spent some time talking to the owner. I'm definitely going back there when I have a better idea what we need. Then we drove out to Costco and a pet store to get some cat stuff. We went by Lowes so I could get a closet organizer and DH and I got in an argument because he didn't think we needed it right away for the nursery and I wanted to get it installed. So we left without the organizer and got over the argument pretty quickly, lol. We made dinner and relaxed the rest of the night.
Sunday, we power washed the outside of the house and sprayed for bugs. Did some inside cleaning and just hung out together. It was so great spending quality time with DH before we went back to work today. On the upside, I get to see him on Thursday instead of Friday. I'm heading to San Francisco so we can go to the Giants/Dodgers game on Friday night.
Friday night we had to go to visitation at the funeral home. Our friend's dad passed unexpectedly. Then, DH and I went on a date to one of my favorite italian places to celebrate being done with my glucose test.
Saturday, DH went golfing so I spent the morning on the couch. I started working on a bib that I am embroidering for Addie, and then we went to my parents' house to celebrate my step dad's birthday along with DH's birthday.
Sunday, I did some laundry, and we went out for groceries and organizing supplies. DH and I drove through the Toyota lot and found an amazing deal on a truck. We've been looking into something bigger since we will have a carseat pretty soon, so we are going to look into trading in on it today. DH spent the rest of the afternoon detailing his truck and I just piddled around the house.
Fri - Saw Inception...AWESOME. Check it out if you can.
Sat - Worked my little butt off at our BF's house, painting the bedrooms and bathrooms. I was in charge of trim, painting a very fine line to the ceiling. Sometimes the paint fumes made me delirious...but everything looks great. Had a very late dinner at BJ's pizza with BFs, too.
Sun - Cleaned house, laundry and made some brookies for dinner. Ate dinner at Aunt & Uncle's house. Got news that a family friend passed away. I swear the month of July needs to be over, there has been too much death for me to handle. Coworkers' husband, my grandma and now our family friend.
