what is on your bucket list?
DH and I were talking last night about all the things we want to do together before we have kids (or die) and it seems like there are so many things we could never fit them into a lifetime! Here are just a few:
1) Hike the appalachian trail
2) visit all 50 states
3) research our ancestry and visit our ancestral homes
4) fly in a hot air balloon
5) me: have a job where I know that I have made a difference for the environment
6) kayak in a bioluminscent bay
and the list goes on and on.
Re: what is on your bucket list?
1. travel to tahiti and bora bora
2. go to the olympics
3. travel across europe...england, scotland, ireland, spain, germany
4. go skydiving
5. go on an overnight kayaking trip
Damn, this is tough!
1. Visit Ireland, Sweden, Australia, Iceland, Japan and various other awesome places
2. Record a full-length studio album
3. H would like to see every ball park in the country (!)
4. Own and run a bar with H (that's our retirement dream)
5. Run a large, prominent Chicago organization
I'm sure I have many more, I just have to come up with them
January 2, 2010
EDD October 10, 2013
Nothing too specific and I don't know if H has one...
1. Travel more, see the west coast and at least one other continent
2. Live in one place for at least ten years/build a house
3. Own a small store, maybe. This takes a lot of capital so I can't decide if I actually want to try it and I'm talking in like, 20 years, not any time soon.
4. Work on being less jealous and my inability to let past transgressions go.
5. Pay off all loans and live debt free

This really got me thinking about my goals and my vision for the future. Thanks for posting it!
Here's what I can think of now:
1. Visit the Galapagos Islands
2. Travel to AT LEAST 5 more countries (so far I've been to 20)
3. See a zebra in the wild
4. Learn to salsa dance well
5. Go on a multi-day horseback riding trip somewhere interesting
6. Live in a house with lots of sunlight
7. Push aside my fear of falling and go skydiving
8. Get a job where I am respected and I am helping people
9. Raise two kids
10. Write a children's book and get it published
BFP on Jan. 18; EDD Oct. 1
This is why H and I were talking about it last night. He is thinking about taking some classes and doing a career change, which would be 4 more years of school for him, and this would be after I finish my next 3, so it would postpone kids for awhile. I got pretty bummed so we decided to make our bucket list and talk about all the things we wanted to do.
We have a ton of travel we want to do before kids.
1. Med. cruise that goes to Egypt/Israel
2. Bora Bora
3. Costa Rica
4. Dubai
1) Drive cross country
2) Hike the Appalachian Trail in it's entirety
3) Grow a vegetable garden that produces more than 3 tomatoes.
4) Photograph and hike the Rockies
5) Do a trans-Atlantic cruise
6) See the Red Sox play in as many different ballparks as possible
7) Go to Spain, Germany, Denmark, Ireland and Scotland
8) Stormchase a tornado to conquer my fear of tornadoes (or confirm that my fear is well-founded)
That's it for now, I know I have more.
my blog
Great minds think alike! I think that would be soooo amazing. I have a friend who is doing it right now and when she makes it to GA she's going to stay with me for a few days. I can't wait to hear her stories!
