So.... how was it?
Re: How was your weekend?
Friday I didn't do much. Cleaned up around the house, then DH had a couple friends over to play video games. I went to bed early, hah.
Saturday I ran a few errands, worked on some stuff for my upcoming charity event and did some laundry. Then we went to our niece's 5th birthday party, then to the Mud Hen's game (where we didn't even stay for the whole game because it was so.damn.hot) and then went out for my friend's birthday.
Sunday I ran a couple more errands then went to my friend's baby shower which was fun, but long. The food was awesome though. Then we ran to the store for a few things, worked on the bathroom a little bit, had dinner and watched some TV.
It went by WAY too fast!
Friday, me and husband had a night out. Baby stayed at my mom's so we could relax and have some alone time.
Saturday and Sunday was boring. Natalie was super whiney all weekend so we didn't do much.
Mine was pretty good. Friday I got off work early, which was nice. Then I met work peoples for dinner (for free) after they all got done.
Saturday I worked til 2 then went to a friends house for dinner which was yummy and fun, but she didn't have AC so we cooked a little bit.
Sunday I again worked til 2 then came home, fixed what DH was painting the we went to dinner with his grandparents and then we came home and walked the dogs and stopped off to visit my mom for a bit while we were walking.
It wasn't bad since I decided to say no to working.
Friday night we went to see Salt. Kind if confusing at times, all pulled together in the end...wasn't too bad of a movie. However, wasn't exactly pleased some couple that it was perfectly fine to bring their baby to the movie. Kinda hard to get into a movie like this when you hear a baby alternating between babblying and crying throughout the entire thing.
Saturday, got my nails done, did some shopping and we went to a party at the house of one of DHs coworkers. More like a cookout with some coworkers, but a good time just the same.
Yesterday was a lazy day, to the point I was bored to tears so insisted we do something. Tried to go to the Hens game, but they only had GA in the picnic area available so didn't do that and went to Papolis instead.
Ours was super busy. Friday we went to the new Camino on Dussel with C's parents. It was pretty good, but I am still a fan of El Vaquero.
Saturday we had to be up super early because we were in the Dragon Boat races downtown. Our team was in the first race, so we had to be there at 6:45. It was insanely hot out, but it was still fun. Our team did well enough in the first race to place in the top division. We ended up coming in seventh overall (missed sixth by a half a second). The river became insanely choppy later in the day, which made it hard to row. Our second race we came so close to capsizing, it wasn't even funny. We managed to stay afloat though, so the only boat to capsize that day was the navy marine boat (which we all found highly amusing).
Sunday our neighbor helped us cut down a crab apple we had in the front yard. It was dying and looked terrible. We were so grateful that it was cooler yesterday because that was a ton of work. We also attempted to clean up some of our other trees with dead limbs. To say we are tired today would be an understatement!
Our baby girl!!
great!! went to put in bay with friends for the weekend and had a blast (despite the heat and the crowd). didn't want to come home yesterday
, but when the party's over....it's over. (lol)
had a baby shower to go to yesterday after getting home and after that helped my bff move furniture to her new apartment. needless to say that i'm one tired girl today.
Friday evening I spent out with a friend and playdate for Alex.
Saturday was all day scrappin' with an intermission of a housewarming party. I love these days!
Sunday/Monday we went to Fort Rapids waterpark hotel in Columbus. It was nice, but no Kalahari by a long shot. It wasn't very crowded Sunday evening which was nice and Alex, DH and I all enjoyed ourselves.
Friday night was just kind of a relaxing night home with Matt- we did a new cardio workout and had fun watching/picking on one of the overly cheesy and enthusiastic girls in the background. Seriously overkill! At least we got some additional workout time for our abs since we were laughing so hard.
Saturday Matt worked in the morning and I had originally planned to try to catch a friend's first race at the dragonboat race, but I got distracted with stuff around the house as usual. We headed to Marblehead and stayed at my family's cottage until Sunday around noon.
Sunday we helped pack up & clean at the house, then headed home. My mom's boyfriend works at Camp Perry/CMP and their national matches were going on all week and weekend, including one event he was going to be in. So we stopped there and wound up being there for 6 1/2 hours!! At least it wasn't quite such a hot day. Then we spent all night applying for jobs in Cleveland, haha. Party weekend, indeed.
