Strange request

My DH's father made a large model tall ship, sailing masts etc.  We had it in our guest bedroom in a glass case.  A while back my little nutjob Izzy jumped up on the case and the top glass fell in and broke several of the masts.  I'd like to suprise DH and get the ship repaired for him, but I have no idea of where to find someone to do that.  Do any of you have any clue?????

His dad passed away before we ever met, and I know the ship meant a lot to him.

Thanks for any ideas, no matter how random!

Re: Strange request

  • Sorry, I have no idea! That's a really sweet idea, though, I hope you're able to find someone to help you out.
  • I did a search of hobby shops in Cary and came across one by the name of Hangar 18 Hobbies. They state on their website that they do carry model boats. Whether they repair models, I'm not sure, but you could give them a call and see if they do. If they don't I'd assume they could tell you of some places to go and check out when it comes to repairs. If I find anything else, I'll let you know.
