Someone just posted on our work email that their neighbor is in need of a nanny. Huge house (I know the neighborhood) next to a golf course....20 hours a week...2 little girls, a three and four year old, and excellent pay....
SO is it bad that I am actually tempted by this and want to quit my job and be a nanny?
Re: Tempted....
Can I be a nanny's helper? Do they have those? Then we could just go for walks and eat greek salads every day?
SWEEEEEET! We could tag team! Oh long walk and endless greek salads.....that sounds amazing....
I "jokingly" mentioned it to DH over lunch just to see what he would say and he was all for it. Then he texted me after lunch and told me to contact the lady and get details. This is so random...
Haha think he's bluffing?
No.....he is a terrible bluffer....
I dont' think it is bad at all! My sister who is going to be selling her Chicago house here shortly and moving back home has decided she's fed up with medical sales and wants to open a bridal shop. If it is going to make you happy, embrace it! I agree with nicole though, make sure that everything "fits" for you or else you'll end up unhappy with it.
One of my co-workers at my PT job is putting herself through college on being a nanny 20some hours a week plus a few retail shifts. She loves it!
I would totally be tempted if I were you! If you don't need your job for insurance purposes (or other things that likely wouldn't come with a nannying gig) there is nothing wrong with checking it out.
If you click with the family and the money is enough for you and DH, go for it if it will make you happy! Life is too short to be anything but happy, that is for sure

I agree with this. And if this works out, I say go for it, and use your extra hours for more photography!!!
