Re: female ob?

  • Congrats!!

Quite a few ladies here go to Rivercrest. They have 2 female Dr's - Twombly & Lucente and 1 male Dr. - Markwood. Lucente is on maternity leave right now though. The office is in Perrysburg but they all will deliver at St. V's.

I had heard she was pregnant, and somehow when I was in there in March, I totally missed that she was pregnant.  I guess her scrubs must have hidden her pregnancy well.

Congrats on being pregnant!!  I highly recommend Rivercrest as well.  I actually see Dr. Lucente, but I have heard great things about Dr. Twombly and Markwood as well.   Every time I have been there, I have had short waits.  Dr. Lucente always takes the time to listen to me as well.  She has been wonderful.

  • I just switched to Rivercrest and have my first appointment today!  It's just the meet with the nurse appointment where they go over history, etc.

I'll try and post how it went later.

I went to Maumee Ob/Gyn.  I had a great experience having my son with Dr. Ward and would have liked to stay with them, but my insurance changed and they don't take my new insurance.  That being said, I did not appreciate the long waits that I had - (1 1/2 hours at 330 after working all day when you're 36 wks pregnant was NOT fun.  I think I cried at that appointment.)   They might only deliver at Toledo.

    Oh - and congrats!!

  • Dr. Sue @ A Woman's Place.  (My mom is the NP there), I'm pretty sure they only deliver at V's.

(Their office is by Anderson's on Monroe Street near the mall)

  • I also go to Rivercrest in Perrysburg. :o)  Very great group! My last pg. was pretty high risk and they took great care of me! Can't say enough about the practice.

Dr. Sue is awesome and so is her NP...I had a high risk pregnancy last time and they were awesome with me.  I actually found out I was expecting last week and scheduled my first appointment with them and they remembered who I was!!!

  • I can't really help much with the OB/GYN part of this since mine is still back in Cleveland (hey, when you love yours, why leave right?) but wanted to post to say CONGRATS!!!!  And hey if you're ever in Cleveland and need one last minute, Dr. Kovach in Sheffield Village is awesome. :)
