Friday morning I woke up and Maggie had bright green stuff coming from one eye. I looked it up online and found out it could be a number of things from something in her eye to a eye infection to gluacoma. Those same websites said to put drops in her eyes and put a warm washcloth on her eye. I did all this and it just continued to get worse. Sunday she could barely keep her eye open.
Monday morning I called the vet and they told me to bring her in. I go to pick her up and they said in one eye she had a severe eye infection and in the other eye it was the start of a eye infection. When I asked the vet what caused it he said honestly it could be a number of things she could have gotten dust in her eye or some pollen or something like that. They gave her a high dosage of medicine at the vet and when she came out she had neon green junk coming out from her eyes the vet tech said it was the infection coming out of her eyes.
They gave us some salve to put in her eyes for 10 days.
Also they gave her a bath and clipped her toe nails.
Re: My poor baby
Aww, poor thing! Our family dog had eye problems from birth, he was practically blind from glaucoma and when he has gunk coming from his eye and it would crust up I would put a warm washcloth on it to clean it a lot.
Hope your baby gets better soon!
