As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. Not what I was expecting to hear this morning.
So when they took out Steve's appendix they sent it away for tests, normal procedure. They found a tumor in his. They ran one test, malignant. The second, benign. So now he has to have some more tests. He has to make an appt with a GI doctor to get a colonoscopy, but he can't have that done until 12 weeks after surgery so it is fully healed, which won't be for another 2 months. Then they want him to see an oncologist to do some tests. I don't know if they anticipate finding anything, but it's all very scary. I don't know what I expect to hear from any of these doctors - good or bad. But I do know I need your T&Ps and some of that good ol' nestie dust you guys are so famous for.
and we're not putting any of this out on facebook, we really aren't telling anyone until we know more, but you guys aren't just anyone and I know you'll help me through this. Whatever it is.

Please Carrie, resist the urge to do internet research! That will only make you feel worse. Trust me. Find trusted doctors and listen to what they tell you.

Holy cow, Carrie! I wasn't excpecting to read that!
My thoughts and prayers will definitely be with you and Steve. 2 months sounds like forever when you have this hanging over your head not knowing if it's malingnant or begnign. At least you know it's there and not still inside Steve.
We are always here for you.
And I have had a colonoscopy before. The drink stuff the day before is the worst part.
