Dear Holiday Inn Austin Housekeeping Staff,
I would like to talk to a person - not a voice mail. I am 95% certain that my wallet was left accidentally in your hotel room ... but I cannot for the life of me get anyone to confirm this. I just want to speak to someone. I have left a message but no one has called me back. This is really creating a lot of stress in an already stressful time of my life. PICK UP THE PHONE!
Dear New House,
I am so grateful to have you. However, there is so much about you I want to change now. DH keeps reminding me that we have to take it slow and steady with the minor remodeling we have in mind. I wish your ceiling was popcornless. I wish your walls weren't an ugly mustard yellow. I wish the linoleum in the kitchen would disappear. I wish there was a deck in the backyard. I wish the countertops weren't cheap looking ... ugh, the list could go on and on. Yes, I know I bought you despite having a long list of "things to change" ... I know that with time you will be exactly what I want.
Dear Weather,
While I usually love the rain, please don't pour down like the weatherman indicated this morning. I have boxes that need to be moved and I don't want wet, muddy shoes all over my house.
Re: OL Tuesday ... let's keep the board movin'
Dear DH,
I know you want a new fence. I want a new fence too. I know we are both really tired of having to walk our dogs on leashes and frankly our dogs are tired of not having free reign in our backyard. But this is a huge expense as our lot is gigantic and I'm super picky. I don't want to spend a wad and then not be happy with the quality of our fence. Please just let me work through the estimates and choose the right contractor without stressing me out so much.
Love,
Your Type "A" Wife
Dear House Buyers,
Please come to our house and fall in love with it. We would like to move please!
Dear Shirt,
I'm sorry I spilled water on you. Please dry quickly. I look quite odd with you sopping wet.
Dear Legs,
I know you are tired, but it's only week 5 of marathon training and we have a lot more work to do. There's no rest for the weary, so keep moving if we want to PR.
Dear darling husband,
I am sorry that we haven't spent much time together at all this summer but taking organic chemistry II and bio II was something that just needed to be done before MCATS in the Spring. Things will slow down after finals this week and I will be able to give you the attention you deserve.
Dear house,
I know that you have only been swept and not mopped for the past week, but again, organic chemistry finals this next week. You too will be given the proper attention that you deserve in the very near future.
Dear self - You really need to get it together wedding is 6 weeks away, and you must start eating better and working out. Your lackluster ambition after work is lame and must be overcome.
Dear dress - I am flying across the country to try you on this weekend, you better be fabulous.
Dear house - I can't wait until the kitchen is done (3-4 weeks) and the furniture comes in...then you may actually look like a house!
Dear rsvps - Please visit my mailbox I would greatly appreciate it.
Dear Yoga-
You kicked my a$$ yesterday and I am incredibly sore today because of it. Though you made me feel good for doing something proactive, you also made me feel like a wet noodle. See you tomorrow.
Dear Darling Husband -
I know that you have to work late tonight but that means you didn't go in to work until 3pm. It would have been nice if you had done some picking up around the house seeing as it is YOUR best friend that is coming over to have dinner with us tomorrow night. I'm just sayin.
PS... you'd better do some work tomorrow seeing as you are OFF.
Dear Texas -
It is hot. It is humid. When it rains, it is still hot and SUPER humid. I love ya but c'mon... can we get a break.
I can't wait till I leave you for a week and go to Wyoming, where the temperature is below 85 pretty much everyday.
KThanksBye.
I know it's Thursday

Dear P90x,
I will beat you and I will finish the program. I know it's hard and my body is sore, but I am not going to quit. When I finish, I am going to celebrate by eating two cupcakes.
Love Always,
Ebbs
