barton springs question

will be austin bound this weekend...is it toddler friendly?

tia!

Re: barton springs question

  • yes, although you might want to ask on the baby board to get more opinions.

the western end is very shallow and more kid-friendly.  i do think it's pretty slippery over there though, so you might want some aqua shoes.  it's also cold (68), which might be a little touch-and-go with a toddler.

but i do see toddlers there every time i go, so it must be OK for some!

  • No kids yet, but I have heard that Deep Eddy Pool is a bit more toddler friendly than Barton Springs if you want to look into that.  But as pp said, I have also always seen people at Barton Springs with young kids so I'm sure its okay.

  • Ds would not enjoy barton springs at all because to the temp of the water. I would try Deep Eddy pool.
