Hello ladies!
I've been inspired by Diana to try to waken up this board, so how is everyone? Anybody going/taken any fun vacations? New homes? New pets? Buns in the oven? New jobs? New anything?

I'll go first! H and I visited the ILs in June which went well-my MIL didn't act too crazy! Yay! We are also doing a b&b weekend next month which should be fun!
We are still working little by little on our house that we got last year. Now I know what people mean when they say "money pit"
In January we got a pitbull mix and she is the only baby that we will have for at least a year!
I am unfortunately still at my job but looking elsewhere but wouldn't mind winning the lottery so I could stay home!
Yay for trying to waken up the board. I had a crazy afternoon at work yesterday and wasn't on at all or I would have responded sooner.
I am lame and have nothing to report. DH just started a new job in April working as a chef for the Phillies so he doesn't have any time off this summer. We are thinking about taking a long weekend for our anniversary in October but we'll see. No new home yet. No pets. My sister is pregnant so that's a bun in the oven and I wish I had a new job!
I'm jumping in! It is nice to see all of you over here. I only pop on now and then, mostly because there never seems to anything going on. So, I will try and pop on more frequently if you guys will be wakening up the place!
The news here is that there IS a bun in the oven. I hit the 7 month mark, so we are moving right along. Due end of September. We do not know what we are having - we are waiting for a delivery room surprise. It has been a lot of fun so far and I am luckily feeling good. Fingers crossed all stays well. Now we are focusing on setting up the nursery and finding space for all of our other stuff - can you say "we need to have a garage sale"? haha. no vacations planned for us in the near future, but we spend many weekends down the shore in the summer, so that is plenty good enough for now!
Heather that is AWESOME news!!! Congratulations!!! Do you have names picked out? How are you decorating the nursery?

The nursery is all baby colors - blue ceiling, two green walls, and two yellow walls and the bedding set is called Snug as a Bug. Very baby and very cute. The baby names we picked are Leo (short for Leonard Jr.) and Sophia.
No buns in the oven yet. DH came back from a 10 month deployment in June. We went to Boston at the end of June for a long weekend, we have a weekend in AC planned for this weekend, we're finally taking our honeymoon at the end of August. Ten days in Punta Cana, I cannot wait.
We've been working on the house since he came home. So far we've re-done the upstairs bathroom and our bedroom. Next is the powder room and painting the hallways and stairwells and then new carpet.
Hey yeah happy to inspire! We bought a 90 year old home and have been doing some manjot reno. No bun in the oven yet, we will be going in Sept/Oct for artificial insemination as I have one side completely blocked. Same sucky J-O-B. We just came back fron an amazing wedding on a lake in upstate NY.
Does anyone remember how to put a bio link in their siggy? I made one for the house.

Yaay! I'm glad that H is home safe and sound!
Deployments make things tricky especially weddings and honeymoons! We were engaged for over 2 years just to ensure H wouldn't be deployed around our wedding time.
I hear Punta Cana is great-you'll have a wonderful honeymoon!
Tell me about it. I had just finalized our big details and he told me he was getting deployed. We had to push everything up about five months. It was all worth it in the end.
Is you H still serving? What branch is he in? My H is Army Reserves, he's been in for 15 years.
My H is now civy-he was AF for 10 years
