Ugh, kicking myself...

I'm going to need to buy new clothes already, or at least one of those bella bands (that what they're called?). I can't sit in my normal pants without unbuttoning. I do realize weight gain is a part of it all, however, I feel terrible I let so much happen in the last 3 weeks. Part of it was not keeping up with my exercise, since my morning sickness was lasting all day, and because I felt sick, I just ate what I could, which wasn't the best choices. I filled my Zofran and it's working wonders so I can stomach better food choices and be able to take Daisy for walks again. But my pants let me know what I've done. And I'm a little ashamed of what I let happen so soon. I just hope I can get back on my good eating wagon. I'm just so dang hungry all the time!

Re: Ugh, kicking myself...

  • Try not to beat yourself up.  This is all part of the process.  I'm sure you can get back to better eating habits, but don't totally deprive yourself of yummy cravings you might get. :)  Just enjoy being pregnant!
  • That sucks but just buy a  bigger size. At old navy they have some shorts that tie and those are nice for  a weekend. All my clothes are getting tight too it sucks b/c I only have 8 days of summer school left and I can't even fit in my clothes I have been in tears . Dh told me to go get me some stuff but I'm been trying to hold off as long as I can. Good for you walking I can't even take the dogs on a walk without even throwing up.

  • Invest in a Bella Band, you'll use it tons. (The trick is to put it like a tube, put your pants on, and then fold it down over your pants so it's folded in half with your pants in between in!)

Don't beat yourself up....you're probably just really bloated from the hormones. Before you know it, it will be a cute little bump!

  • Thanks ladies. I guess I just have to remind myself it's not all necessarily fat weight gain right now. Just have to shift gears in my head a bit. It's just that these pants were almost too big a month ago and now I can't have them buttoned while sitting, lol. Just have to laugh, I guess! It's all for a good cause as long as I'm not just eating bon bons all the time. DH will be excited to go shopping for a band with me, that's one of the things he was looking forward to, lol.
  • Get back on the right track!  Hang in there!  It's hard to eat right when you feel like crap.  Now you are feeling better, so I am sure you will start eating better.

  • At this point, it is probably 98% bloat.  I bloated 2 sizes up from my original size.  I just got a band at target to make my pants fit.  Eventually, by bloat went down and my pants fit comfortably until my bump popped.  That's when I bought the maternity pants.

  • Around that time it is mostly bloat, it will get better. I used the rubber band trick on my pants until the bloat went down.

This. It's bloat. I bloated so badly between weeks 6-10 that I was about the size I am now. Do the rubber band trick on your pants. There's nothing you could have done to prevent it. I slept 14 hours a day my first trimester and didn't exercise once because I was so exhausted. I don't feel bad about it. As soon as I hit 2nd tri and started feeling better I've been exercising again and feel back to normal.
