WDYT: Baby boy name
Beckett
Full name would be Beckett Douglas G
DH said it this weekend and I am still on the fence. I can't tell if I like it or not!
And no, it is not after the Red Sox pitcher, but I know that is what we will get. 
If it is a boy, I have to be careful about when I annouce the name since one of DH's friends wives is due in Oct and they are keeping the name 'secret' until birth - I personally think they don't know what it will be, so I don't want them stealing any of our names! lol

i love it! i've heard 'beckett' a couple of times..probably on baby name sites and I had it tucked away in my mind as a possibility one day.
i think it fits perfectly with emerson too
I like it. It's unusual, but not weird.
One little thought, though....will kids call him Becky?
Oh, and as for if/when to tell the name, I like what my friend does. She and her husband never tell the kid's name until it's born. She said no one dares give negative comments about the name once it's on the birth certificate.

that's why my SIL waited to tell our nephew's name. her mom apparently hated her sister's baby's name and let her know it. but then when the baby was born, she never said another word about it.
i just can't imagine someone having the cajones to tell you they don't like the baby's name to your face.

I like it and it goes well with Emerson. Do you think people will call him Beck as a nm?
I am not sure what we will call him as a nickname. I don't mind Beck though. And I'm sure whatever name we choose, there will be some kid that will find a way to make it into a teasing name.
I don't really care if people don't like the name we pick, I have had people tell me straight out that they don't like Emersen! But I just don't want this particular person taking any of my names!
