Teen Mom
My friends tried to tell me they felt sorry for Farrah because her mom hit her. They were all like, "She's just a teenager! That's still child abuse." I think it's totally understandable and would have a hard time not beating her ass if she were my daughter. She is a miserable excuse for a human being. Anyone disagree?
My Tyler theory is that since puberty has finally set in and he's looking more like a young guy than a 12 year old boy AND he's on MTV, he is getting a lot more available girls flinging themselves at him and he is second guessing whether he wants to stay with this messed up chick with floppy boobs, stretch marks, braces and a terrible dye job. Plus, the whole, my dad is doing your mom thing....adds to the desire to run far, far away. He obviously still cares about her, but come on. Even in the boonies, the pickins can't be that slim.
Knowing that Gary tried out for the biggest loser, I sometimes wonder whether their trashiness is their own invention to help make their own fame. I think they're the poor man's Speidi -- they know people will watch if they act like a trainwreck, and they'll get asked back for more seasons of the show. I could be wrong, but the Wal-Mart girl pushed my suspicions over the edge; I think that whole thing was faked.

I agree with Mulva. But for it to really get through the beating should have started at a younger age. If they can't verbalize, they can't complain. Or she should have beat her mom. That would make for much better television.

First Tyler made his mom send Caitlynn back to the crack den with her mom and Butch and Butch's rat tail. They were still hanging out, but then Caitlynn randomly brought up another boy she sexed three years ago (when she was 14, I guess???) and said she never talks to him anymore, but Tyler went and CREEPED ON HER TEXT MESSAGES and found out she does. They almost broke up, and Caitlynn tried to give back her promise ring, but Tyler said she should keep it and they should stay together. So, that should work out pretty well.
