Update: On grandmothers diamond ring
I asked a few weeks ago about having the diamond in my grandmothers engagement ring reset into a pendant to wear as a necklace. I decided to go with a small local jewelry store in Anderson, Marcus Jewelers. The jeweler was so helpful, and suggested keeping the diamond in the original setting b/c of the character of it. I could not be happier with the results! It is absolutely beautiful, and so happy I decided to have this done. Also, If I decided down the road to have the stone placed back in the ring, I can do so, as everything is still in tact. Just thought I would share. Oh, and Marcus only charged me just under $80 to have this done.
