My birthday is coming up, and I think I'd like to ask for a personal trainer from DH. I'd like someone that will teach me how to work out, make sure I do it, and also address my TERRIBLE eating habits. I've done a bootcamp before, and while I did like the encouragement of having other people doing it with me, it was a short-term solution and didn't address my eating habits at all. it was very effective though...
I remember some knotties/nesties going to a woman named Kratai for a while. I can't tell if she's still in business (last review was a year ago and website updated in 2008), but something like that sounds ideal. small group (6 women), meets 4-5 times a week for 3 months. goes over nutrition too.
anyone have any recs?
Re: personal trainer recs?
Are you North or South? I did the Lifetime Fitness Team training series a couple of years ago, and they were GREAT! I was at the one up north, in Dave's classes. He was really good, and does training on his own as well.
Not sure about the South one's trainers, but I'm sure they have the same classes. They do food/nutrition plans for you based on weight goals, it was pretty good and I still use that diet plan today.
She is still in business. I did work out with her for one contract wich is a 3 months contract. I can give you pros and cons in a private message.
Another friend of mine (who we both did the Kratai) has been working out with Revelation Fitness and it's something totally different, worth every penny.
How many pennies is something like that?
yes, spill it TX-Bride! I'd love to hear the Kratai dirt too - feel free to email it to me if you'd rather. tdurham at seidata dot com
