Re: WC failed me

  • I have made a pork loin twice in the crock pot, both times turned out great.  One was a totally normal recipe, one was weird but delicious.  I did one with potatoes, carrots, celery, onions, etc.  The other one was with Sour Kraut (sp?) and apples.  Sounds really weird but it was sooooo good!  I can tell you how I did either of them if you are interested in either.

you can sub out the beer for water or beef broth or something, it just won't have the exact same flavor

  • I don't have a crockpot recipe but

Take your pork loin and season with sea salt or kosher salt, pepper, vinegar, parsley and anything else you want.

Sear it in a skillet for about a minute on each side then throw it in the oven @ 375 until the internal temp is at 145, then I add some raspberry chipotle sauce I grabbed at Costco. Continue cooking until internal temp is at 150-155 then take it out and let it sit for a few minutes.

I'll serve it with steamed red potatoes.
