As a result of these updates, members of the Nest Community will need to change their password in order to continue participating in the community. In addition, The Nest community member's avatars will be replaced with generic default avatars. If you wish to revert to your original avatar, you will need to re-upload it via The Nest.

  • Yes. I'm not sure about NY law. In wisconsin, they did, but needed to give you 24hr. notice to show the place or do repairs. In emergencies, like water coming out under your door, they use it.

  • Yes, but they have to ask for permission to enter. As pp said, they let themselves in to do repairs and for emergencies (though they call me even then).

  • Yes, they always have, it's still their property. It's never been a problem for me, they never let themselves in without talking to me, and they've let me in a couple times I locked myself out.

    this, exactly.  ours even fed our cats while we were on vacation.

  • No, but since we act as the "supers", we have a key to all the other apartments.  Knock on wood, there has never been an emergency reason to use them.
  • Yes, the super lives in the building and has all the keys.  During our wedding madness we were getting so many packages (which the super would accept from UPS thankfully!) he just started putting them in the apartment when he signed for them.  We would come home nearly every day to a new box in our entryway!
    We're currently on a 15 month trip around the world!
