Hey all, just trying to get a feel at what other CANADIAN companies offer in regards to pension plans.
Mine just got lowered to matching up to 4% from 7%
DH company only matches up to 3%
Care to share? (Basically so I can see if our companies suck or not)

Re: Pension Plans
I think we're currently matching 5% of our 7%, but they are also matching 1.5% of our 3% purchases of company shares.
Mind you - they are no longer employing me in a few weeks!
Holy Crap, I am JEALOUS!
Do you mind me asking if you work in the private or public sector?
I am a teacher. We are matched by the Ont. gov't and our school boards. The pension is one of the things that keeps me going on very challenging days.
I'm not sure what my husband pays into his, but his pension will be a set rate, 65% of his best five years' earnings, with 55% survivor's benefits if I outlive him. I know that the company puts more into his pension fund than he does.
On top of that they have a stock option plan, in which the company will match 33% of your contributions, up to a maximum of 2% of annual income. So my husband contributes 6%, they add 2%, adding up to 8% of his gross
