Pretty much what Hound said. The reason they are doing so many on me is because of my previous m/c history and the spotting this time, so "threatened abortion" like she said.
Some docs do at least one for everyone, some don't. Dr. Puckett said she always does one for everyone, but you joined her after you were already pregnant, right?
Should my hCG level be checked routinely?
It is not common for doctors to routinely check your hCG levels unless you are showing signs of a possible problem. A health care provider may recheck your levels if you are bleeding, experiencing severe cramping, or have a history of miscarriage.

Since I had a tubal reversal that put me at higher risk for an etopic. I felt like the numbers really saved my life. Once we knew they weren't going up I was followed even closer.
