New Widmer Witness?

Did anyone hear on the news that someone came forward and said Ryan confessed to them?  Maybe I'm imagining it.

Re: New Widmer Witness?

  • I think I read something in the Enquirer last week when the prosecution was trying to convince the judge to do a 3rd trial.  The secret witness isn't being revealed to the public.

  • I heard on the news last night that there was a new witness that says they can prove that he killed her but that was all I heard. I haven't been following this case AT ALL, but why would this witness wait until now?!?

  • Complete BS if you want my opinion. People are just making crap up now which is ridiculous.

  • I heard that as well. I by no means no how all of this works, but wouldn't the witness be charged with something for holding back important information on a case that had 2 trials?!?!?!?! IMO I think it's bogus and if it's not, shame on that witness for not coming forward sooner and saving everyone a ton of time and money.
  • Well, there's always a chance that the "witness" was told during or after the trial.  I do think it is rediculous though and I feel for both families.

  • I heard something along those lines too. I believe Ryan is being held in jail, correct? Apparently he confessed to someone in the jail about the killing - so I think I remember hearing. So the defense is going to call into question the witnesses credibility if they are in jail.however, the prosecution is saying that they have a credible witness that Ryan confessed to.

Again, I only recall hearing something about it. Don't quote me on it!

  • Last I read/saw in the news he was living w/ his mom out on bail.  I, too, think this "witness" could've saved a lot of time, money, and heartache for all those involved if they had come forward sooner.  Granted I don't know all of the facts, but it seems like they are headed for round #3 and I'm personally ready for it to be over, whatever the outcome ends up being.
