Moving On-Job Related

I think I am at a point where I am ready to explore other opportunities and move on from my job. I am scared though that the grass is greener on the other side. I like my job and clients and I will not bore you with all the details but I am not happy with the company I work for.

I guess my question is how do you know when it is time to get out?

Re: Moving On-Job Related

  • If you can find a better offer and something that will make you happy, then it's time. Enjoy the luxury of not being in a rush since you have a decent job. That lets you find something you really want to do.

  • I always daydream about finding a different job.  But, I often suffer from the "grass is always greener" syndrome.  I know that any law firm I move to will probably have the same old bs, or perhaps even worse.  Basically, I have just realized that I don't like the legal field.  So, I just have to wait until I can whore my kid out like the Lohans.

Sorry I have no solid advice for you.  Good luck.

  • Thanks! I think I am going to see what is out there and how it compares and then make some decisions. You are right, since there is no rush I can take my time. I have had a bad couple of weeks at work so it all I think about lately.
