I know it is a few months away, but with my 'all day sickness' and the holidays coming up, I wanted to start early with the planning.
We have a lot of family and friends, so for her 1st birthday, we are doing to do the big bash. Since my house is so small, we will probably do a hall.
I am going to do an owl theme (since I am obsessed with them and her room has them) so I wanted to see if you ladies had any cute ideas that you have seen for 1st birthday parties. I did find some cute 1st birthday owl things but I have only found pink (my least favorite color) so I am still looking. I don't have a problem DIY but I need to start soon since I know it will take me a while with having her to take care of and not feeling great myself.
So any ideas are welcome!

Re: Emmy's 1st birthday
There's nothing wrong with planning ahead! The more you can get done now, the better I think
Here's some ideas (and I know you dont like pink but swap it out for another color(s)). I LOVE "Look whooo's One!" Invites

ha. i was going to offer up the owl invite i did for SIL's shower, but realized i already sent you that for something else a while back
i'll think on ideas. what colors were you thinking of going with?
how precious is this cake!?
Love! BTW, the cookies they use for the eyes are soooooo good
oh shoot. i didn't even realize those were cookies! i thought they were icing swirls
I see black eyed peas in the eyes and sliced almonds. that'd be pretty easy to recreate

The eyes look like these cookies to me. I dont know if they carry then everywhere, but yum! Im sure halloween candy is already being put out too (candy corn).
oh yeah. i'm pretty sure i've seen those at world market. hmm..now when would I need an owl cake
that cake is super cute. but I think I might do cupcakes instead of cake. I havent decided.
I am thinking maybe purple, green, brown. IDK.
