Question/confession

So my little brother told me last night he started dating this new girl. Well this girl also happens to be the sister of the guy I lost my virginity to. We were not in a relationship, but we were best friends. I do not have any regrets at all. I wanted to make sure it was with someone I cared about and cared about me the same. We were both in agreeance. So for all intents and purposes we were friends with benefts. We had a falling out after I started dating Chase's dad and never really talked again.

Now here is the question. Should I tell DH about this guy? He knows I lost my virginity to another guy named Kris, but when the subject came up last night he didnt ask, I didnt tell. My little brother, no matter if hes 25 or not, dosent need to know who I gave it up to so he dosent know either. The chances of this relationship going to far are slim, but just in case, I dont want him to accidentally find out way down the road and be upset I didnt tell him right off the bat. I dont think the other Kris wouldnt say anything should we all happen to be at a get together, since he has a girlfriend, but I certianly dont want my husband to find out like that either.

WWA08 do?

Re: Question/confession

  • I dont think I would tell.. i mean, the past is the past and it's really no ones business. I also dont think you should worry about it...what are the chances that would come up in conversation anyway? But I could see what you mean if it accidently slipped out.. i dont know.. me personally.. if it happened to slip out and someone found out i would just say it was in the past and its not something you felt the need to tell anyone about
  • Hm, I don't see why it would need to come up at all for anyone. If it were me, I think I'd just not mention it to anyone. But maybe someone sees something else I may have missed.
  • I would tell DH.  DH and I have that type of relationship.  We talk about people we had sex with in the past.  There are things DH has told me I sometimes wish he hadn't. In some ways though I like the fact he has been open and honest.

The changes of him finding out are slim to none.  I would just rather him hear it from me now.

  • No that past is the past if you feel better about telling your dh then do it. I always tell Dh everything I never can keep a secret! Do what you feel more is Comfortable for you!

I would tell DH but we are really open about all that and I know there would be no hard feelings.  He understands it's in the past.
  • I wouldn't say anything. If it comes up it will probably be more of an issue for you to have the cat outta the bag then for anyone else. Just let it play out. Maybe it won't work out for your bro and you will open up the can for no reason. Don't sweat it. past is past.
